Post-Pandemic Shifts: Learning and Growing through Change
The global pandemic forced everyone to move quickly and adapt to new ways of teaching and learning. During this challenging time, teachers and students became more resilient and also more open to using different teaching structures and learning formats. Change, adaptation and responsive pedagogy became common parts of our everyday school life and learning culture. How have these different formats influenced our practices in a post-pandemic era? Have any of them become permanently embedded in the way we teach? And what new challenges does the post-pandemic era present for us and our students and how are we tackling them? We call for article proposals that document successful post-pandemic practices across grade levels and content areas, from educators in P-12 and in higher education.

Proposal Guidelines
Please tell us about your proposal by referencing each of the following nine elements (approximately 2–5 pages) and submit to NYSUT by April 1, 2023. Please include the element titles.
Be sure to complete the author submission form and send it in with your proposal.
- Title: What is the working title for your article?
- Topic: What do you plan to write about? What practice or content area(s) will your article focus on? (Please provide specifics about school(s), grade levels, etc.)
- Relevance: How is this practice relevant to the theme of this year’s volume on Post-Pandemic Shifts: Learning and Growing through Change? Why is this topic important to you?
- Setting: Describe your setting and the student population(s) involved in the practice or programs.
- Practice: Describe the practice or program and your method or approach.
- Outcomes: What are the intended outcomes or indicators of success and how do you plan to measure or observe them?
- Research Base: Describe the academic research base that supports your practice. (Please provide specific examples/citations.)
- Diversity: How does your practice address the needs of diverse populations?Collaboration: Does your practice involve collaboration with parents or other members of the school community?
