In New York State, more than 426,500 people are living with Alzheimer's and 543,000 are serving as their unpaid caregivers. To address this growing crisis, NYSUT passed the resolution, Alzheimer's Disease: A 21st Century National Public Health Issue. It is our goal to provide educational opportunities to our members throughout the year.
To launch this effort, the Alzheimer's Association is offering a FREE five-part education series this fall. Join us for one, some or all of the virtual programs. This statewide program series will provide a disease overview, warning signs, and caregiving tips and strategies to help navigate this journey.
