DOES YOUR LOCAL OR CHAPTER SUPPORT FAIR TRADE?
NYSUT Fair Trade Committee - Summer 2015
NYSUT proudly supports Fair Trade, a viable economic solution for impoverished farmers, artisans and other workers worldwide. Fair Trade standards assure living wages, fair and humane labor conditions, and environmental sustainability. Workers are democratically organized; abusive child or forced labor is strictly prohibited. For farmers and producers, Fair Trade means community development, improved health care, and access to education.
As such we invite you to become a Fair Trade Local or Chapter. NYSUT Fair Trade Locals/Chapters will be recognized at the 2016 Representative Assembly.
