Christopher Mondal was a per-diem paraprofessional at PS 46 in the Bronx who had a huge impact on the school in the eight years he worked there.

“Chris was an amazing person,” Chapter Leader Matthew Carioscia said. “He worked with our most challenging students and he reached them by showing kindness and understanding.”

Among Chris’ interests were music, photography and basketball. He was a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and an assistant boys basketball coach in the CHAMPS program, run by the city DOE and Montefiore Medical Center.

“Chris never said no,” Carioscia said. “We was always willing to go above and beyond to help others. He was a wonderful person who will be missed by the entire PS 46 community.”
