Educators are invited to a free two-day STEM education program Aug. 1–2 at Hudson Valley Community College's TEC-SMART facility in Malta.
The SEMI High Tech U Teacher Program agenda is filled with hands-on activities that draw a connection among Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and real-world applications. Educators see "live" examples of how academic skills translate to the workplace and how to integrate related curriculum with New York State Learning Standards.
Participants will also take part in a tour of the Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Albany.
The SEMI High Tech U Teacher Program is underwritten by NYSUT and supported by the SEMI Foundation, HVCC TEC-SMART, SUNY Polytechnic Institute and local industries. To register, visit www.nysut.org/eReg/SHTU16.
