It's an honor
Pam Agan-Smith, Greenville Faculty Association, was selected 2015 School Psychologist of the Year by the National Association of School Psychologists. Agan-Smith was recognized for her dedication and effectiveness in improving the mental health, well-being and academic achievement of students through her work on a host of initiatives, including peer mediation and suicide prevention programs. She also presents to students each year on stress and relaxation techniques.
Katherine Clark and Ruhan Zhao, United University Professions SUNY Brockport chapter, received Chancellor's Awards for outstanding service to the university and its students. Clark earned an award for Excellence in Faculty Service; Zhao was recognized for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activity.
Danielle Cobb, Depew Teachers Organization, was awarded a mini-grant from the Lancaster Youth Foundation to purchase supplies for the sixth-grade math program in geometry. The "magformers" will assist students in understanding the difference between the surface area and the volume of a 3D geometric figure.
