By huge majorities, both houses of the NY State legislature passed a critical bill, A10498/S09460, requiring NYC schools to reduce class size to lower levels, phased in over five years. But this bill cannot be enacted and enforced until it is signed by the Governor.
While this bill directly affects NYC schools, it is a necessary first step to set class size standards for all of New York State. We need to show the governor that New York students in every ZIP code and from every background deserve proper class sizes.
