WEBINAR: Teaching in Blended & Hybrid Models

How can teachers keep lessons coherent when working with blended/hybrid classes split between in-person and remote environments?

Educators from three NYSUT locals offer practical solutions on how they're handling this challenge.

Panelists in this two-part series include an elementary teacher, a high school ELA/ENL teacher, and a K-12 P.E. teacher.

The webinars are FREE to NYSUT members. Register for one or both sessions.

Session I - Preparing to Balance It All

Panel members will discuss how they adapted their planning and pre-instructional processes to weave structure and routines into a chaotic day, what valuable lessons they learned from experimenting with technology, and what actions they are taking to get through each day.

November 19, 2020, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. EST

Session II - Instruction, Assessment and Now What?

Panel members will share suggestions for incorporating productive, engaging lessons for blended/hybrid instruction with quick, purposeful formative assessment and meaningful assignments, troubleshooting technology while maintaining time on task, ways to be more efficient with resources so as “not to reinvent the wheel,” and scaffolding and providing modifications for different learners.

December 1, 2020, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. EST
