Our moment is now.
We have a unique opportunity right now to win a huge victory in the State Legislature for our revenue plan to #FundOurFutureNY ... and we need to stand strong and stand together to fight back against state budget cuts.
Even before the Coronavirus pandemic hit, it was clear that inadequate education funding has had a dramatic negative impact on our public schools, our kids and our communities. State lawmakers have the ability now to address that problem and provide the long-term solution we desperately need by simply asking New York’s ultrawealthy to pay their fair share!
Support for our #FundOurFutureNY revenue plan is growing, and we must strike while the iron is hot! With the Legislature back in session to deal with COVID-19 related business, we MUST make sure they address the revenue issue at the same time.
We cannot let lawmakers "reward" educators and school staff for getting us through this pandemic with layoffs and program cuts!
Let them know we expect to return next fall to public schools, colleges and universities that are better funded than when we left them!
This is the moment. Right now. Please take action!
