The state union has recognized individuals for their efforts recently, and in return, NYSUT, or its officers, have been recognized for service to other organizations. Following are just a few of the awards.
Above: Debbie Minnick holds the plaque honoring her service to the NYSUT Board of Directors. Minnick, a veteran leader in the National Education Association and an Ithaca teaching assistant who led the living wage campaign there, is going to work for the NEA to promote living wage campaigns.
